Who We Are
Founded on March 16, 1915, the Illinois Alpha chapter was the very first chapter of Pi Tau Sigma, started by a group of upperclassmen who wanted to foster cooperation between mechanical engineering students and faculty.
Since then we’ve grown into a chapter built on scholarship, service, and leadership, giving our members the tools to become the most effective mechanical engineers they can be.
